NARRATIVE
ON PRINT - This is a locality much frequented
by the fisher wives and lasses, some of whom,
as shown in the picture, may be seen any day,
and almost any hour of the day, washing fishy
clothes in the burn. A little seaward from
the place usually occupied by them for this
purpose, the main drainage of the town has
